The square is named after Brussels-Luxembourg station, because old building stand on one of its sides and it is a very colorful square. It was mostly developed in the first few decades after the Belgian Revolution, and the most prestigious residential area in the capital for the bulk of the 19th century.
Malou Park is the oldest public park in the commune and it’s one of the sequence of green spaces that line the Woluwe stream, which beautifully emerges in the park. You can also discover Château Malou, built in 1776 in the style of the aristocracy’s country houses at the time.
