Welcome to Pompeii Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy. Starting at the main entrance, we will explore the ruins of Pompeii, an ancient Roman city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. We will visit the Basilica, an impressive civic building that served as a courthouse and market, and the Forum, the heart of ancient Pompeii where political and social events took place. We will walk along the Via dell’Abbondanza, the main street of Pompeii, lined with shops, houses, and public buildings, including the Granaries of the Forum. We will also visit the House of Menander, a grand residence that belonged to one of the wealthiest families in Pompeii. Its impressive frescoes and mosaics provide a glimpse into the lifestyle of the city’s elite. Our tour will continue to the Teatro Grande, an ancient Roman theatre. And to conclude the tour, we will visit the Lupanare di Pompei, an ancient brothel.
