Catedral Sagrado Corazón de Jesús
This is a must see church located in downtown Limon, because it is the first Catholic church established in 1892, when the parish was created. The old cathedral was demolished in 2001, designed and rebuilt in modern style by Mexican architect Raul Godar. The windows, bell, and the monument of Chris from the original cathedral remain part of the new building. The church has a garden and plaza, perfect for a visit and photographs.

Escuela General Tomás Guardia
the building's history first began in 1877, when an angreement was reached to build the Upper Boy's Educational Insitute, whose educational infrastructure changed over time, with a new building constructed during the presidency of Rafeal. Angel Calderon Guardia. This school was rebuilt in sober brick construnction that is characteristic of school architecture in the mid 20th century and it was declared to be architectural interest in 1989.

Antigua Capitanía de Puerto
This is one of the most imporant buildings in Limon, because it demonstrates an Afro-Caribbean or West Indian influence and it was part of a group of buildings owned by the United Fruit Company. Built in 1930, The building functioned as an office for the Captain and Governor until 1986 and in 1995 was declared as historical architectual heritage site. the Captain's qaurters is worth a vist to learn more about Caribbean history. Ask for permission to go to the second floor to see a great view over the Caribbean sea.

Edificio de Correos
The historic post office is located in Limon downtown and built in 1911, it was declared a Costa Rican Architectural Heritage Sitein 1982. In 2012, its structure and Ethno-Historic Musuem on its second floor was restored. Throughout its history, it has served as. the office for the Justice Tribunals, the Criminal Court and the Limon Police Station but tunred in to The Post and Telegraph Office in 1973, where it remains to the presennt. It is built in Neoclassical and Neocolonial design presents of its era.

Vargas Park
This park is located in down town Limon, near the main port. In this park you can find a great balance of culture, tourism, and wildlife. While it is not a very large park, you can easily walk around the park and find sloths hanging in the trees or take pictures in the iconic gazebo, or with the many other art installments.
