Ghosts of Bucharest – Walking Tour
Welcome to Bucharest’s shadowy underbelly. Strange things are occurring near the Old Town but still outside of it. Be careful that some unauthorized “locals” may join us on this tour. Since this location has been inhabited for more than 2000 years, the city has been the scene of numerous deaths, murders, and mysteries. If you pay close listen, you can nearly always hear the voice of the afterlife. Do you want to try something different? Bucharest is full of buildings that appear to be abandoned, but the agitated spirits of the previous occupants—people who had been ruthlessly evicted from their homes—remain hidden in the shadows of the mature trees. Many individuals find themselves unable to resist the temptation to muffle their ears after hearing the true account of Vlad “Dracula” Tepes. The past is completely documented, and it is by much more horrifying than the folklore that is only based on fact.

Curtea Veche Palace
Curtea Veche, the Old Princely Court of Dracula, is still standing. The only thing that is left of this regal mansion and its grounds today are ruins.

Old Town Bucharest
You'll see dilapidated, seemingly abandoned residences as you stroll around the old town.

Strada General David Praporgescu
Dingy house in the heart of the old town. It was the scene of two tragic incidents: a man would have slain two ladies here during the interwar era, and a young woman would have committed suicide a short while thereafter.

Teatrul Național București
The first location in the city where a disturbing tale is told is at the National Theatre, where tortured spirits still cling to life.
