    Katedrala Svetog Tripuna

    The Cathedral of St. Tripun is one of the city's emblems. It is situated on the same-named plaza, immediately opposite to the Bishopric of Kotor, Drago Palace. It was constructed in 809 in the Romanesque style with characteristics of Byzantine architecture. Its appearance has evolved throughout the years, most notably because to many earthquakes, and it was rebuilt fast after each one. However, the church's exterior was repeatedly altered during the renovations, and nothing of the original cathedral remains. The European Union awarded it a certificate in 2008, along with the Europa Nostra organization, for the flawless rebuilding and seismic insurance of the oldest Romanesque cathedral on the eastern Adriatic coast.

    The concept for a cat museum arose with the donation of a large collection of vintage photos by Countess da Montereale Mantica. The significance of the material and the vast number of works have inspired the notion of establishing a museum where the works may be seen not only by tourists who will undoubtedly arrive, but also by a larger public who may seek to learn more about us via the internet.

    Kotor Old Town

    The most notable section of Kotor is the ancient town, which preserves Kotor's history, culture, and tradition. It contains a large number of medieval architecture landmarks, including churches, cathedrals, palaces, and museums. Its attractiveness is enhanced by the abundance of tiny alleyways, squares, and marketplaces. The ancient town of Kotor is especially notable for its numerous elegantly crafted gates, palaces of affluent families, and a large number of steps. Today, the historic core of Kotor is regarded as the best surviving medieval urban unit in the Mediterranean. By far the largest and most spectacular are the city bulwarks that encircle the town.
