During our tour we will see one of the most beautiful Baroque Palaces in Poland, very often called as Polish Versaille and the gem of Baroque architecture.  The Wilanow palace and its garden remained relatively original despite some annexations, wars and occupations. We will see the home of King Jan III Sobieski, one of the most famous Polish kings and military commanders in history, famous for his victory over Turkish army in 1683. King Sobieski built this Palace and lived in it in the second half of the 17th century with his beloved wife, Queen of Poland Marie Casimire.

In the palace, we will see the original King’s and the Queen’s Apartments with famous Wilanow cycle of ceiling paintings symbolizing four seasons of the year, the White Hall with portraits of Wilanow owners, South and North Galleries with frescoes depicting mythological scenes, Lapidarium and Etruscan Cabinet with ancient sculptures and vases, King’s Study and Library, Picture Gallery with numerous paintings of famous masters. Then we visit beautiful facades richly decorated in Baroque style with the greatest in Poland 17th century sundial and gardens forming an integral part of the royal residence, including the regular two-level Baroque garden, the rose garden and part of English type natural garden with Wilanow lake.
